Carl F. "Nub" Pulliam, a native of Scopus and resident of St. Louis, died Tuesday, June 30, 1998, at Lutheran Medical Center in St. Louis. He was 62.
He was born May 13, 1936, son of Curb and Sally Angle Pulliam. He married Irene M. Beasley May 20, 1978. She survives.
He worked for sawmills most of his life and was a retired truck driver for Curtis Transportation.
He was a life member of VFW Post 6049 of Morris, Ill., and served in the Missouri National Guard.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Perryville.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Carl E. Pulliam of Jackson, Kevin and Kirby Pulliam, both of Cape Girardeau, and Shane Pulliam of Sedgewickville; two daughters, Karen Skinner of Jackson and Kim Aden of Benton; a brother, Arnold Pulliam of Potosi; a half brother, Jake James of De Soto; three half sisters, Dorothy McIntyre and Eula Cooke, both of Jackson, and Helen Regeon of St. Louis; and two stepsons, Michael Minton of Jackson and Todd Minton of Mom's, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
Burial will be at Pulliam Cemetery in Bollinger County.
