Funeral for Carl Edward Brant of Cape Girardeau will be held at 3 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Mo. The Rev. Rennie Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery at Scott City.

Friends may call at the chapel after 11 a.m.

Brant, 49, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Feb. 20, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of Clarence J. and Aileen Mae Redpath Brant.

Brant was an assembly line packer with Manpower. He was a member of the Eagles Club.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Clarence and Virgie Brant of Scott City; mother and stepfather, Aileen and Hilbert Tuschoff of Scott City; two brothers, Clarence "Bruno" Brant of Blue Springs, Mo., Terry Brant of Council Grove, Kan.; two half sisters, Donna Tuschoff of Arnold, Mo., and Elaine Heuring of Scott City.
