DONGOLA, Ill. -- Capt. Genevieve R. Soller, 87, of Lacon, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1991, at Danville VA Hospital.
She was born Jan. 4, 1904, near Dongola, daughter of Ira Monroe Robinson and Eva Catherine Scurlock Robinson.
Soller was a graduate of Illinois Training School for Nurses and the University of Michigan.
She had been district supervising nurse with Illinois Department of Health; senior school nurse and health educator with Ann Arbor, Mich., Public School System, and had served as coordinator of community health and nursing for Department of Public Instruction in Lansing, Mich.
Soller was a member of Alumnae Association of Illinois Training School for Nurses, Michigan School Health Association, Michigan State Nurses Association, National Organization of Public Health Nurses, American Public Health Association, American School Health Association, Delta Omega, Pi Lambda Theta, and Phi Kappa Phi.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at American Legion Cemetery near here. M ilitary rites will be by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
Crain Funeral Home of Dongola is in charge of arrangements.
