Calvin Drewel
ROLLA, Mo. -- Calvin Henry Drewel, 83, of Rolla died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in Springfield, Mo.
He was born Feb. 23, 1925, in Bland, Mo., son of Henry and Lydia Dahms Drewel. He and Dorothyleen "Dot" Branson were married May 8, 1948, at Bland.
Drewel was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Rolla Masonic Lodge 213, Rolla York Rite and Abou Ben Adhem Shriners Temple.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Ogles and husband Jerry of Cape Girardeau, Tracey Agent and husband Jeff of Springfield; three grandchildren, Dr. Mitch Ogles and wife Julie of Branden, Miss., Ricky Ogles and wife Amy of Memphis, Tenn., Wes and Lynsey Agent of Springfield; a great-grandson, Chapman Ogles of Branden; three sisters, Alice McKinney of Belle, Mo., Hilda Hulse of Virginia, Lora Steiner of Vandalia, Mo.; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothyleen Drewel; two brothers, Art and Elmer Drewel; and a sister, Mabel Homfeldt.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at James and Gahr Mortuary in Rolla.
Graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Bland-Union Cemetery in Bland, with the Rev. Terry Knight officiating.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital. Cards are available at all James and Gahr locations.
