CHARLESTON -- Calmore Stallings, 75, of Charleston, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1993, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born May 22, 1918, in Mississippi County, the son of John Henry and Bessie May Cook Stallings.
He married Eva M. Mayo, March 9, 1940.
Stallings lived in Mississippi County is entire life, where he was a landowner and worked as a farmer until poor health forced his retirement.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert "Bob" Stallings of Benton, John Calmore "J.C." Stallings of Charleston; two daughters, Virginia Nell Newcomb of Memphis, Tenn., Shirley Jean Wilcox of DeSoto, Mo.; a brother; a sister; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, with the Rev. Richard Combs officiating.
Burial will follow win the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Charleston.
