Lewis Dale "Butch" Pierce, 60, of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at his home.
He was born Dec. 24, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Melvin and Betty Pierce.
Butch was retired from U.S. Tobacco and was currently with Eggland's Best. He was a past exalted ruler and member of Cape Girardeau Elks 639. Butch will be truly missed by his family and friends.
He was a beloved husband of 40 years to Lana Haupt Pierce; loving father to Mindy (Daniel) Belue and Jeremy (Elizabeth) Pierce; cherished grandfather to Tommy Brown, Jordan Baumann, Joshua Pierce, Jonathan Pierce, Jacob Pierce and Kensington Belue; father and mother-in-law, Johnnie and Mary Haupt; a brother-in-law to Pam (Larry) Wendel and Steve (Cathie) Haupt; cousins Gail (Stephen) Joest and Sharon McNeeley; and nephews John David Haupt, Robert Haupt, Thomas Haupt, Christopher (Shellie) Wendel and Kelsey Wendel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Pierce.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service at noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
