SIKESTON -- Funeral for Marion E. "Buss" Johnson of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Donny Haynes will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Johnson, 84, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999, at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1915, at McMullin, son of Roy M. and Hallie J. Wyatt Johnson. He first married Ladoska Nelson June 17, 1933. She died March 14, 1960. He later married Mary Florence Niederstadt March 3, 1962.

Johnson was shop foreman at International Harvester Co. 29 years. He also worked at the University of Missouri Delta Center in Portageville 13 years. He served as an auxiliary police officer in Sikeston, and was a member of Scott County Sheriff's Patrol 50 years.

He attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jackie, Boyce and Nelson Johnson of Sikeston, Dennis Johnson of Piedmont; three daughters, Patsy Wren of Bertrand, Kay Cox of Sikeston, Jean Ann Wilson of Gray Ridge; a stepson, Don Jones of Poplar Bluff; and a stepdaughter, Bonetha Landreth of Poplar Bluff.

Also surviving are three brothers, Charles and Billie Johnson of Sikeston, Donnie Johnson of Morley; five sisters, JoAnn Lambert of Sikeston, Betty Taylor of Murphysboro, Ill., Helen Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., Bonnie Stinski of San Francisco, Calif., and Gail Aubert of Topeka, Kan.; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two sisters, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter.
