GORDONVILLE -- Burton Harold Nothdurft, 81, of Farmington, died Monday, May 2, 1994, at his home.
He was born April 17, 1913, at Gordonville, son of Robert and Minnie Schreiner Nothdurft. He first married Ruth Tisdale, who preceded him in death. He later married Louise Shannon Pies.
Nothdurft received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master of science degree in industrial arts from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
He was an industrial arts and engineering teacher 43 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, its Methodist Men, and was a Sunday School teacher more than 50 years. Nothdurft was also a member of Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Nothdurft of Kirksville; a daughter, Jane Shinn of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Judith Grimes of Lake of the Ozarks; a brother, D.D. Nothdurft of Columbia; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter, and two stepgrandsons.
Friends may call at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home at Park Hills from 4-9 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Park Hills, with the Rev. Rick Broadway officiating.
Friends may also call from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday at Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville.
Burial will be at 4 p.m. in the church cemetery.
