SIKESTON -- Burrel Ellis Walden, 76, of Sikeston died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Batesville, Ark., son of Jim and Dottie Walden. He and Stella Jones were married Aug. 24, 1945.
Walden was a retired auto body repairman.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Harry Burchett of Millington, Mi., Bob Burchett of Cape Girardeau, Charles Walden of Bloomington; three daughters, Carla Walter of St. Louis, Carol Kramer of Eldon, Michelle Truett of Lutz, Fla.; two sisters, Alma Cason of Batesville, Thelma Stephens of Merritt Island, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
