Burlean Boese

Burlean Boese, 85, of Jackson died Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Virgil and Lizzie Davis Alvey. She and Harold Lee Boese were married April 1, 1952. He died Jan. 28, 1993.

Burlean had worked as a hand sewer for Florsheim Shoe Co.

She was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God Church in Chaffee.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Ivan) Majka and Tammie (the late Kenneth) Mayfield, both of Jackson; two sons, Chris (Hazel) Boese of Fruitland and Terry Boese of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Maxine Larson of East Carondelet, Illinois; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Danny Ray Boese of Brownwood, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son-in-law, Kenneth Mayfield.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Theresa Williams officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
