SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Bulah Alyne Propst, 92, of Sedgewickville, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born March 11, 1906, at Millersville, daughter of Lee Tillman and Vesta Crites Austin.
She first married to Ralph W. Webb in August 1925. He died Feb. 26, 1958.
She then married Dale T. Propst on March 24, 1960. He died March 9, 1992.
From 1952 to 1958 she co-owned and operated Webb's Grocery in Fruitland. She also worked for Rozier's Dry Goods in Jackson and Perryville, and she worked for the former Deal's Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Sedgewickville.
Surviving are two sons, Dale T. Propst Jr. of Ste. Genevieve and Carroll Wayne Propst of Hillsboro; four daughters, Lucille Webb Moser of Convoy, Ohio, Mildred "Billie" Webb Surface of Grassy, Maxine Webb Friedrich of Jackson, Mildred Propst Besher of Mountain View; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Five brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson, with the Rev. David Schaffner officiating.
Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
