BURFORDVILLE -- Funeral service for Richard Loren "Bud" Stroder of Burfordville will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. O. David Griffin will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Stroder, 71, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997, at his home.
He was born Dec. 13, 1925, at Crump, son of Dale and Ailene Hosea Stroder. He and Mary Lou Reynolds were married May 28, 1949, at Jackson.
Stroder was an autobody repairman, retiring from Huckstep Body and Paint Shop in Cape Girardeau in 1987. He was a member of Jackson Trail Riders Association. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Philippines during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steve Stroder of Jackson; a daughter, Patty Reisenbichler of Jackson; five brothers, W.D. "Dub" Stroder of Crump, Roy and Harold Stroder of Jackson, Shelby Stroder of Sedgewickville, Frank Stroder of St. Libory, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
