NEW MADRID -- Mose "Bud" Davis, 77, of New Madrid died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Hermandale, son of Will and Nancy Alexander Davis.

Davis was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Geraldine Davis of Chicago; a son, Michael Davis of Chicago; a sister, Versell Young of New Madrid; and a brother, Andrew Davis of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Burial will be in Smith West End Cemetery at Sikeston.

Friends may call at the church Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home at Howardville is in charge of arrangements.
