PERRYVILLE -- Brother William Dickinson, 85, formerly of Perryville, died Saturday, March 8, 1997, at St. Joseph's Hill Infirmary in Eureka.
He was born Dec. 2, 1911, in Desoto, son of W.F. and Anna Schlett Dickinson. He entered Novitiate at St. Mary's Seminary in Perryville on Sept. 3, 1939, and professed his vows on Sept. 4, 1941. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree.
He was at St. Mary's Seminary in 1941 as head of dairy and again in 1974 when he retired. He was also at St. Vincent's Seminary in Lemont from 1963 to 1974 and retired to St. Mary's of the Barrens in Perryville in 1992.
He is survived by two brothers, George and Paul Dickinson, both of DeSoto.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and before 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary's of the Barrens Church in Perryville. A wake will be at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at The Vincentian Cemetery in Perryville, with Miller Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
