SIKESTON -- Bright Caroline Calhoun, 101, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1993, at her home. She was born May 27, 1892, in Camden, Ind., daughter of Hubert and Priscilla Brown Jones. She and William Alvin Calhoun were married in 1914 at St. Louis. He died Feb. 3, 1939...

SIKESTON -- Bright Caroline Calhoun, 101, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1993, at her home.

She was born May 27, 1892, in Camden, Ind., daughter of Hubert and Priscilla Brown Jones. She and William Alvin Calhoun were married in 1914 at St. Louis. He died Feb. 3, 1939.

Survivors include a son, Billy Calhoun of Whittier, Calif.; three daughters, Dorothy Brewer of Sikeston, Priscilla Laden of Houston, Texas, Eunice DuBois of Memphis, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Ed Felker will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
