SIKESTON, Mo. -- Bridwell Logan Crenshaw, 86, of Sikeston died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born June 20, 1914, in Charleston, Mo., son of Joseph M. and Lela Finley Crenshaw. He first married Maxine Collins Sept. 26, 1936, in Sikeston. She died Oct. 9, 1991. He and Loretta Alcorn were married April 9, 1993, in Sikeston.
Crenshaw owned and operated Crenshaw Distributing Co. in Sikeston, West Memphis, Ark., and Fulton, Tenn. He was a charter founder of Planters Bank of Sikeston, and served on the boards of directors of that bank and of First National Bank in Sikeston.
He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, and member of Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, James Crenshaw of Clarksville, Tenn., Joseph Crenshaw of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Carolyn Fitch of Gallatin, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Hough of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and a brother.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. James E. Fitch and Richard Fitch officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
