GALLATIN, Tenn. -- Briar Helwege passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at her home in Gallatin at the age of 39.
She was born June 27, 1979, in Cape Girardeau, which is where she grew up and attended school.
She was the daughter of Gary J. Helwege, Christine Eaton-Fochler and stepfather Raymond P. Fochler.
Briar was employed at YAPP USA Automotive in Gallatin.
She leaves behind her 11-year-old daughter, Kyan Layne Sullivan; father, Gary J. Helwege; mother, Christine Eaton-Fochler; brother, Travis Ryan Helwege; stepfather, Raymond P. Fochler; maternal grandmother, Betty L. Hitt; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who dearly loved her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, O.D. and Jackie Helwege, and her maternal grandfather, D.T. Eaton.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 3305 N. High St. in Jackson.
Sumner County Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of local arrangements.
