JACKSON -- Graveside service for David Brian Miller of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. today at Russell Heights Cemetery. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate.
There is no visitation.
Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Miller, 50, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 8, 1945, in Sikeston, son of Frank and Rosamond Milde Miller.
Miller was coordinator of Cape Girardeau County Emergency Management Agency. He was appointed director of the Cape County Disaster Planning and Operations Office in 1975, and became head of the emergency preparedness agency in 1982.
Miller was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Cape Girardeau Classic Car Club and Southeast Missouri Amateur Radio Club. He was a member of Jackson Jaycees and received the Man of the Year award.
He was a member of National Emergency Managers Association, Missouri Nuclear Emergency Response Team, Cape Girardeau County Fire Fighters Association, Association of Public Safety Communications Officers, GM&O Railroad Historical Society, Cotton Belt Railroad Historical Society, Gateway Fire Historical Society, Lexington Group, and National Packard Association.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Rosamond and Charles Sander of Jackson; three stepsisters, Sharon Dreyer, Cathy Sievers and Carol Rees, all of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
