BRENT MARTIN

JACKSON -- Brent William Martin, 35, of Jackson died Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital following a short illness.

He was born Oct. 24, 1963, at Cape Girardeau, son of Jerry and Patsy Cook Martin. He and Vickie Foutch were married Aug. 14, 1997.

Martin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School and had attended Southeast Missouri State University.

He had been an employee of Dana Industries since 1994. Prior to that he had worked for Yamnitz Auto Body and Wrecker Service of Jackson.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Brittany Faye and Syble Marie Martin, both of Jackson; a son, William Duane Martin of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Ashley Erin Clover of Jackson; his parents of Jackson; his paternal grandmother, Venus Martin of Jackson; and a brother, Vince Martin of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate, with burial to follow at the Russell Heights Cemetery.
