TAMMS, Ill. - Brent Eric Heady, 15, of Tamms, Ill., died Monday at Southeast Missouri Hospital after a long battle with Leukemia. He was born Aug. 1, 1977, in Murphysboro, Ill., son of the Rev. Billy Don and Cheryl Renee Browning Heady. He attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch, Ill. TAMMS, Ill. - Brent Eric Heady, 15, of Tamms, Ill., died Monday at Southeast Missouri Hospital after a long battle with Leukemia.

He was born Aug. 1, 1977, in Murphysboro, Ill., son of the Rev. Billy Don and Cheryl Renee Browning Heady.

He attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch, Ill. He was a sophomore at Egyptian High School in Tamms, Ill., where he played in the band and sang in the chorus.

He was a former paper carrier for the Southeast Missourian in Tamms.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, April Dawn Lacey of Olive Branch, Ill.; a half-sister, Debra Julian of Lawton, Okla.; a half-brother, Billy Paul of Layton, Utah; his maternal grandfather, Clearn Browning of Olive Branch; his maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Effie Foster of Olive Branch, Ill.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms. Visitation will also be after 1 p.m. Thursday at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 Thursday at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch, with the Rev. Dean Heady and the Rev. Kim Ferguson officiating.

Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
