JACKSON -- Funeral for Brenda Wood-Gilder of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Dale Hendrix will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Wood-Gilder, 50, died Monday, Nov. 8, 1999, at her home.
She was born Sept. 9, 1949, daughter of the Rev. Paul and Pauline Counts Wood.
Wood-Gilder was a licensed practical nurse 27 years, mainly in pediatrics and private duty. She was involved in puppet ministry a number of years.
Survivors include a son, Herbie Gilder III of Jackson; two daughters, Kim Niedbalski of Jackson, Christa Borgfield of Porter, Texas; her parents of Scott City; four brothers, Paul Wood Jr. of Dixon, Tenn., Bill Wood of Conroe, Texas, Ronnie Wood of Alvin, Texas, Kevin Wood of Scott City; a sister, Donna Gardner of Scopus; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
