JACKSON -- Brenda Turner, 51, of Jackson died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ben and Sybil Carmack Kimbel. She and Jim Turner were married Feb. 5, 1987.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dan Wilkens of Jackson; a daughter, Julie Kinder of Jackson; three stepsons, David Turner of Jackson, Dennis Turner of Peoria, Ill., Douglas Turner of Marion, Ill.; and a stepdaughter, Karen King of Jackson.
Also surviving are six sisters, Betty Wilkenson, Billie Farrow, Joanne Parker, Shirley McClain, Hulda Flanagin and Jeanette Farrow, all of Jackson; five brothers, Benjamin "Sonny", Ray, James, Bobby and Gene Kimbel, all of Jackson; two granddaughters; and four stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Ed Thurman officiating. Burial will be in McLain's Chapel Cemetery.
