Brenda Preston

ST. MARY, Mo. -- Brenda J. Preston, 51, of St. Mary died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at her home.

She was born Sept. 9, 1952, in Perryville, Mo., daughter of John O. "Joe" and Georgia L. Miller Adams Jr. She and Darrell L. Preston were married Aug. 7, 1976.

Preston was a teacher at Jefferson Middle School in Festus, Mo. She was a member of Lithium Baptist Church, MSTA and MNEA. She lived in Perry County many years.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Darrell "Andy" Preston of Brownsville, Ky.; two daughters, Julie and Carrie Preston of St. Mary; her father of Farmington, Mo.; two sisters, Linda Boyer and Vicki Wade of Farmington; four brothers, Gary "Neal" and John Adams of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Milton and Burton Adams of Farmington; and maternal grandmother, Glenna Miller of Ste. Genevieve.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerold McBride officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery at Perryville.
