PUXICO, Mo. -- Brenda Jean Kirkpatrick, 59, of Puxico was born Feb. 4, 1951, in Steele, Mo., the daughter of the late William and Julia Jean Turner, and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Brenda had owned and operated a general store in Lowndes, Mo. She later owned Ms. B's Flower Shop in Advance, Mo.
Brenda and Charles Wayne Kirkpatrick were united in marriage Feb. 15, 1969, at Zalma. He preceded her in death Oct. 28, 2007.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Sturgeon of Vienna, Ill.; a special loved one, Larry Stevens of Puxico; two brothers, Charles Turner of Puxico and Hoytt Turner of Texas; two stepbrothers, Gary Turner and Dennis Turner of Lowndes; a stepsister, Jana Renfore of Lowndes; and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a stepbrother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Dale Holman and Dale Wiseman officiating.
Burial will follow at Fagan Cemetery in Kinder, Mo.
