Brenda J. Floyd, 82, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Jan. 27, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to Claude and Erthel Lufcy Keesee. She married Jack Floyd on Sept. 27, 1959. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2022.
Brenda worked as an administrative secretary at Wells Fargo and as a bus monitor for the Jackson School District.
Brenda was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and a flea market lover.
Survivors include her sons, Jack (Leisa) Floyd and David (Dina) Floyd; daughter, Joy Floyd; sisters, Carol Little and Dee Lambert; grandchildren, Erica Haff, Hannah Beasley, Aaron Floyd, Joe Floyd, Tylor Floyd, Nick Hobeck, Brandon Sitzes and Chelsi Welker; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Russell Keesee; grandson, Nathan Floyd; and husband, Jack Floyd.
A graveside service will be at noon Tuesday, June 18, at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
