BRENDA EAKIN

Brenda Joyce Eakin, 55, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, in an automobile accident near Ware, Ill.

She was born April 30, 1943, at New Madrid to John A. Dixon and Zora Perrigan.

On Aug. 16, 1964, she married Jim Eakin at Bell City. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Christopher and Mandy Eakin, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Dr. Lori Eakin of Kansas City; five brothers, Jim Dixon of St. Louis, Joe Dixon of Belton, Texas, Ted Dixon of Collinsville, and Johnie and Don Dixon, both of Sikeston; two sisters, Norma Davis of Advance and Linda Webster of Belleville, Ill.; and a grandchild, Tyler Eakin.

Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Services are Tuesday at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, with Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sikeston.
