Bradley Richard Bock, 65, of Cape Girardeau, died in his sleep Tuesday, Nov. 3.
He attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1973.
Beginning at age 14, he suffered from mental illness, which lasted for the rest of his life.
Before that, he was an outstanding athlete, popular with his peers, with a good-natured, generous personality that he kept throughout his life.
Brad loved nature and filled his sketchbooks with landscapes, birds, deer and other wildlife. He also enjoyed taking photographs of nature.
Brad loved a variety of music and had an extensive collection. Another of his hobbies was playing table baseball and football games with friends and family. The St. Louis Cardinals were his favorite baseball team.
Bradley was a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and actively witnessed his Christian faith.
He was born March 21, 1955, in Cape Girardeau to Howard and Jo Ann Burton Bock.
He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann; and his brothers, Burton and Brian Bock.
A private family viewing and burial will be Monday at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Weston Wildauer officiating.
Contributions to Cape Girardeau Senior Center or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
