KARNAK, Ill. -- Bonnie Kean Ward, 52, of Paducah, Ky., and formerly of Peoria and Karnak, died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at her home in Paducah.

She was born Oct. 3, 1947, at Cairo.

She was a retired schoolteacher in Peoria and had been working as a receptionist for Dippin Dots Inc. in Paducah.

Ward attended the Arcadia Methodist Church in Paducah and had been a member of the Western Kentucky Pond and Garden Club.

She is survived by a son, Joseph L. Ward of Peoria; a daughter, Jana C. Ward of Peoria; two brothers, Tom Kean of Arab, Ala., and Jerry Kean of Waco, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sadie Wilson Kean.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Karnak United Methodist Church, with the Revs. David Adkinson, Joey Dunning and Steve Heisner officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Cypress.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
