Bonnie Jean Barks Umfleet, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, at her home.
She was born July 5, 1926, in Advance, Mo., daughter of Henry and Lula Barks. She married Edward Umfleet, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by four sons, Mark Umfleet and wife Betty of Cape Girardeau, Pete Umfleet and wife Linda of Advance, Keith Umfleet and wife Tammy, and Terry Umfleet of Cape Gir­ardeau; a daughter, Pam Burns of Cape Gir­ardeau; a stepdaughter, Sue Paxton of Sedalia, Mo.; a brother, James Henry Barks of Rolla, Mo.; a sister, Heloise Tricky of Union City, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepson, Paul Morgan; a daughter, April Yarbro; and a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
