Bonnie Lee Stevens, 76, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at her home.
She was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Evansville, Indiana, daughter of Carl and Frances Alison Doneghue. She and James Stevens were married July 31, 1978, in Cape Girardeau.
Bonnie graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked at Saint Francis Medical Center and in home health care.
She loved her family and the Lord.
Loving survivors include her husband, James of Cape Girardeau; five children, Tim (Barbie) Crowden, Todd Crowden, both of Chaffee, Missouri, Melissa (Tom) Mayberry of Wentzville, Missouri, and Toby (Sara) Crowden and Travis (Autumn) Stevens, all of Jackson; 18 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Rick (Marie) Doneghue and Bill (Cheryl) Doneghue, both of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Crowden, and her parents.
Memorial visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Inurnment will be in Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield at a later date.
The family suggests contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
