Bonnie Lou Lennington, 86, of Jackson died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 11, 1926, in Marion, Ill., to Charles Oscar and Jessie Falsom Owdom Howard. She and Kenneth Warren Lennington Sr. were married Saturday, June 15, 1946, at Pinckneyville, Ill. He died Nov. 4, 2000.
She was a former member of First General Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Warren "Butch" Lennington Jr. of Jackson; one brother, Jackie Dean Howard of Warsaw, Mo.; one sister, Dana Hope Irwin of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Judy Carol Chantos and grandson Jonathan Robert Lennington Chantos in 1983; four brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Luther Rhodes officiating. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
