MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Bonnie J. James, 92, of Marble Hill passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Dunklin County, Missouri; daughter of Robert Clint and Cora Seaton Goad. She and Charles Milford James were married April 26, 1941.
Bonnie was an avid seamstress and quilter, wrote a book called "The Good Old Days," and was a member of Marble Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Charles of Marble Hill; three sons, Don M. James of Burbank, Illinois, Bruce D. James of Palestine, Texas, and Timothy James of Edgar, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Lanny R. James and Charles C. James; three brothers, Clarence, AB and Junior Goad; and four sisters, Bertha Barker, Ruth Janes, Nina Dixon and Ruby Johnson.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time today at Liley Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Bruce James officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery at Scopus, Missouri.
