MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Bonnie Jean Grindstaff, 86, of Marble Hill went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2010, at her home, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Marble Hill, daughter of Otto W. and Dora Mae Barks Reutzel. She and the Rev. Floyd Grindstaff were married Dec. 16, 1941. He died Feb. 8, 2006.
Mrs. Grindstaff had worked for Woodland School District and Jackson Manor as a cook. She was a member of Lutesville General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Floyce Jean Irvin and Jane Laxton of Farmington, Mo., Paulette Jackson of Marble Hill, a brother, Cletus Reutzel of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Orville Reutzel; and two sisters, Clodine Barks and Ruby Kirkpatrick.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Hurricane Fork General Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev Jimmie Fulbright and the Rev. Steven Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Fork Church Cemetery.
