Bonnie J. Dodd, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at her home.
She was born Dec. 8, 1934, in Hartshorne, Okla., daughter of Lyman and Juanita E. Chancellor Flowers. She and James Riley "J.R." Dodd were married Jan. 22, 1952, in Manila, Ark.
The Dodds owned and operated Dodd's Stop and What Shop 35 years. She was a member of Jesus Christ Church in Jackson.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edward Dodd Sr. and James Dodd Sr. of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Lucita McNeely of Cairo, Ill.; three brothers, Ralph Flowers of Albuquerque, N.M., Zeno Finley Jr. of Huntsville, and Larry Finley of Farber.
Also surviving are four sisters, Betty Hull of Farber, Eloise Munsell and Pat McIntire of Cape Girardeau, Daina Morales of Kansas City; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Revs. Delmar Mueller and Albert Sadler will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
