Bobby E. Tolbert, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Lutheran Home. He was born Aug. 21, 1933, at Randles, son of William Everett and Lula Mae Moore Tolbert. He and Mary Jo Morrison were married Nov. 7, 1964, in Cape Girardeau. Mr. Tolbert served in the U.S. Army from July 1, 1953, to May 11, 1955, and in the U.S. Air Force from Dec. 22, 1959, to Dec. 21, 1962...

Bobby E. Tolbert, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 4, 2007, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Aug. 21, 1933, at Randles, son of William Everett and Lula Mae Moore Tolbert. He and Mary Jo Morrison were married Nov. 7, 1964, in Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Tolbert served in the U.S. Army from July 1, 1953, to May 11, 1955, and in the U.S. Air Force from Dec. 22, 1959, to Dec. 21, 1962.

He was of the Baptist belief.

Mr. Tolbert was a mechanic for Nations Plymouth / Dodge Dealership in Cape Girardeau. He worked for Schneider and Mid America Power as a small engine mechanic, was warehouse manager for Parker Distributing, parts salesman for Horton Sales and United Distributing, retiring in 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Tolbert of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Heidi (Jeff) Lashley of Swansboro, N.C.; a son, Tim (Shannon) Tolbert of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Madison and Quinton Tolbert, Trevor and Dylan Lashley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park with full military rites by Missouri Honor Team.
