Bobby R. Talley, 55, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at his home. He was born March 8, 1951, in St. Louis, son of Chester and Recie Burress Talley. Bobby R. Talley, 55, of Jackson died Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at his home.

He was born March 8, 1951, in St. Louis, son of Chester and Recie Burress Talley. He and Linda Hastie were married April 1, 1972.

Talley served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1971.

He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in O'Fallon, Mo. He was a former police officer in Pike County, Mo., and was employed by St. Charles Transit for 17 years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jason Talley of St. Peters, Mo., Phil Talley of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Meyeretta Clifton of Jackson; two brothers, David Talley of St. Charles, Chester Talley of North Carolina; two sisters, Recie Scoggins of Hawk Point, Mo., Janet Black of Troy, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
