Bobby Ray Stevens, 71, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019, at his home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 23, 1947, in Dutchtown, son of the late Leon and Hilda Steuve Stevens. Bobby and Doreen Beard were united in marriage Nov. 11, 1987.
Bobby worked in construction throughout his life. He was a hard worker and provided for his family. Bobby enjoyed helping with the Girl and Boy Scouts of America, but, most of all, he enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen Stevens of the home; son, Jason Stevens of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Ashley (Joell Sanders) Stevens of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Layla and Delaney Sanders; and two brothers, James (Bonnie) Stevens and Eugene Stevens, both of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leon (Mary) Stevens.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Kuehle officiating. Interment will take place in Whitewater Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery near Whitewater.
