SIKESTON -- Bobby Ralph Slayton Sr., 63, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1995, at Clearview Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Jan. 1, 1932, at Deering, son of Shelby Turner and Minnie Elizabeth Taylor Slayton. He married the former Mary Robinett.
Slayton was formerly of New Orleans, La., and had lived in Sikeston since 1969.
He was a retired air conditioner mechanic. He was a member of Eagles, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ralph Slayton Jr. of Canalou; a daughter, Ruth Slayton of Poulsbo, Wash.; five stepsons, Mike, Bobby, Garry, Duffy and Danny Robinett; four brothers, Eugene Slayton of Sikeston, Randall Slayton of New Orleans, Marion Slayton of Tennessee, Melvin Slayton of Florida; two sisters, Louise Edwards of Alton, Ill., Laurabelle Medlin of Kennett; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronnie Beardsley officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
