PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Bobby Gene McMillian, 85, of Perryville died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 31, 1931, in Malden, Missouri, son of Joe and Flora Kinder McMillian. He and Martha Sue Alexander were married in February 1953. She preceded him in death June 30, 1989...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Bobby Gene McMillian, 85, of Perryville died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 31, 1931, in Malden, Missouri, son of Joe and Flora Kinder McMillian. He and Martha Sue Alexander were married in February 1953. She preceded him in death June 30, 1989.

Bobby worked at Midway Ford as an automobile dealer. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Survivors include a son and a daughter, Doug (Nancy) McMillian of Perryville and Patti Byron of Port St. Lucie, Florida; a brother, Ralph McMillian of Malden; five grandchildren, Melissa Ogle, Jason McMillian and friend Andrea Ponder, Jessica Bolf Gould, Dustin Bolf and Bailey Nicole Byron; and 11 great-grandchildren, Dakota and Macy Ogle, Connor and Cooper McMillian, Alexandria, Adilynn and Anistyn Ponder and Giavanna, Caden, Brie, Brynn, Finn and Julian.

He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother Bill McMillian; and a brother, Jim McMillian.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with parish wake at 5 p.m. He then will be taken to Landess Funeral Home in Malden for visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with James Powell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, with military graveside honors.

Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent Schools or the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
