Bobby Nowlin Keathley was born June 18, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee. He departed this life at his home in Saxony Village in Cape Girardeau Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, at the age of 86.

Bob and Yvonne Gary were married in 1956 and were the parents of four sons, David Keathley of Dexter, Missouri; Ronald (Miki) Keathley of Henderson, Nevada; Gary (Cary) Keathley of St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; and the late Michael Keathley.

Bob was involved in the family business of woodworking from an early age. He was president of IXL Manufacturing Co. Inc., until the family business was sold. He retired in 1997.

He had three special areas of interest: woodworking in his shop, his farm in Wayne County, Missouri, and Boy Scouts of America. He served as SEMO Council president and was on the St. Louis Council Executive Committee.

Bob leaves behind his sister, Marie Quinn of Dexter; sister-in-law, Elaine (John) King; and 10 grandchildren, Megan Keathley, Nolan (Sami) Keathley, Hannah Keathley, Jamie (Tyler) Rizzo, Caitlin (Jesse) McCallum, Chris (Justine) Keathley, Garrett Keathley, Hallie Keathley, Peyton Keathley and Mason Keathley. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Logan McCallum, Everly McCallum, Julian Rizzo, Lincoln Rizzo and Tripp Keathley; as well as cousins, other family members and many friends.

A celebration of life for Bob Keathley will be at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at Bernie (Missouri) United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Bernie United Methodist Church.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
