Bobby Gene Henry, 82, of Perryville, Mo., died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Mo.

He was born Oct. 28, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Harley and Jessie Finley Henry.

He and Alice Hitt Henry were married Nov. 25, 1948, in Cape Girardeau.

Henry was a member of Perryville United Methodist Church. He served in both the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Meat Cutters Union of St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Henry of Farmington; a daughter, Patricia Kuntze of Farmington; a son, Bob Henry of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Thomas Kuntze of Farmington, Joshua Henry of Cape Girardeau, Nathan Henry of St. Louis; Benjamin Kuntze of Farmington, Michael Strobel-Henry and Caroline Stobel-Henry, both of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lowell Dalton.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dr. Sharon Howard officiating.

Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, with military rites conducted by the Missouri Honor Guard.
