BOBBY DOWDY

DEXTER -- Bobby Dowdy, 40, of Gordonville, formerly of Dexter, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 2, 1958, at Dexter, son of Jerry Dowdy and Shirley Gaines Dowdy.

He was a cook at Jer's Restaurant in Jackson.

Survivors include his mother, of Dexter; and a brother, Sam Gaines, of Chaffee.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Graveside service will be at Essex Cemetery at Essex Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Vernon Belcher of Dexter officiating.
