JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral for Bob J. Ury of Jonesboro will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home. Rick Hertenstein will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.

Ury, 68, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Aug. 4, 1930, in Jonesboro, son of George and Marie Hunsaker Ury. He and Mary Helen Cerny were married Jan. 26, 1951.

Ury was a retired farmer. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church and Anna Masonic Lodge. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott Ury of Anna, David Ury of Jonesboro; a daughter, Susan Choate of Jonesboro; two sisters, Arleen Mees of Prospect Heights, Georgetta Vincent of Anna; and four grandchildren.
