Robert John "Bob" Niederkorn, 66, of Scott City died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, doing what he loved most, farming.
He was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Cape Girardeau to Henry Joseph and Betty Marie Larson Niederkorn.
Bob was a self-employed farmer, and he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his life partner, Rhonda Haertling of Scott City; a son, John (Deanna) Niederkorn of New Hamburg, Missouri; two daughters, Amy Niederkorn of New Hamburg and Renee (Byron) Wilkerson of Jackson; two brothers, Donald (Judy) Niederkorn of Jackson and Timothy (Donna) Niederkorn of Millstadt, Illinois; six grandchildren, Ashley (Michael) Simmers, Wesley Brant, Caleb and Seth Niederkorn and Leigha and Lexi Wilkerson; and a great-grandson, Henry Simmers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery in New Hamburg.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
