Robert "Bob" William Miller of Cape Girardeau was born Jan. 18, 1941, and passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at Lutheran Home.
Bob was the only child born to Barney Eilert and Sarah Emily Brunke Miller. He grew up in Mehlville, Missouri, where he graduated from Mehlville High School. He then attended Southeast Missouri State College, playing center on the basketball team.
Following college, he worked as a Linotype operator at the Southeast Missourian newspaper and then at Procter & Gamble until he retired.
Bob enjoyed fishing, attending Southeast Missouri State University basketball games, attending Chris Miller's Special Olympics competitions, bowling and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bob also served on the Board of Directors for VIP Industries. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his son, Chris Miller (girlfriend, Crystal); daughter, Mindy (Billy) Cox; and granddaughter, Bailey Cox.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 22, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at noon Thursday, Dec. 22, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to Special Olympics.
