Bob Lieb

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Robert Eugene "Bob" Lieb, 78, of Mounds passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo, Ill.

He was born April 13, 1933, in Cairo, Ill., son of Henry and Elizabeth W. Farley Lieb Sr.

Bob was a retired iron worker and truck driver.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Goodlin.

Survivors include a son, Michael Lieb of Parma Heights, Ohio; a sister, Lucy Klosterman of Mounds, Ill.; and a brother, Henry Lieb Jr. of Rockford, Ill.; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Heights Cemetery with full military honors by Illinois National Guard Honors Detail and area veterans.
