DEXTER, Mo. -- Leonard R. "Bob" Harris, 71, of Dexter died Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at his home.
He was born Nov. 8, 1930, at Illmo, Mo., son of Clifton Pearl and Louise Alma Wilson Harris. He and Joyce Marie Eakin were married June 7, 1953, at Illmo.
Harris was a trainmaster with Cotton Belt Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo., H.O. Grauel Masonic Lodge 672 in Cape Girardeau, and Ainad Shrine in Belleville, Ill.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Charles Harris of Poplar Bluff; and a sister, Elizabeth Shawan of Poplar Bluff.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. A Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Dr. William Vail officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
