EAST PRAIRIE -- Bob Burney, 77, of East Prairie died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at his home. He was born April 18, 1921, in Harden, Tenn., son of Edward and Fronie Aday Burney. EAST PRAIRIE -- Bob Burney, 77, of East Prairie died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at his home.

He was born April 18, 1921, in Harden, Tenn., son of Edward and Fronie Aday Burney. He and Imogene Thomas were married Dec. 19, 1942.

Burney was a retired farmer. He moved to East Prairie in 1994 from Dorena.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rex and Clayton Burney of East Prairie; three sisters, Louise Wallace, Dorothy Marks and Gladys Terry, all of East Prairie; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
