CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Bly V. Belk, 90, of Bertand, Mo., and formerly of Charleston died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at the Bertand Nursing Facility.
He was born May 3, 1910, at Chaffee, Mo., son of William J. and Fannie Miller Belk. He and Penny Boitnott were married Aug. 14, 1939. She died June 5, 1984. He and Margaret L. Bell were married March 6, 1985.
He had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and was employed by Levee District 3 until retirement. He was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 407 AF&AM, both in Charleston.
Survivors include his wife of Bertrand; five sons, Sonny Burcks of Charleston; Donald Burcks of Eldon, Mo., Bill Belk of Benica, Calif., James Belk of East Prairie, Mo., and David Belk of Diehlstadt, Mo.; two daughters, Fay Moxley of Wyatt, Mo., and Jean Bartlett of Commerce, Mo.; two stepsons; four stepdaughters; a sister, Virginia Finch of Chaffee; 28 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jon Archie officiating. Burial will be in Oak Dale Cemetery near Commerce.
