BLANCHE WEAVER

ESSEX, Mo. -- Blanche Weaver, 91, formerly of Essex, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Mo.

She was born Oct. 27, 1909, at Bloomfield, Mo., daughter of Millard and May Whitledge Fortner. She and Herbert Weaver were married Oct. 9, 1927. He died Sept. 10, 1987.

Weaver lived in the Bloomfield and Essex, Mo., areas all her life.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Gibbs of Oxly, Mo.; two grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a brother, and a sister.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo., after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Doyle Corlew will officiate. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
